Hello Wrestlingjunkies,

Please welcome Aida Marie Acosta
Hello Aida, thank you for this interview.
Thank you for having me for this interview, I really appreciate it.

Can you please tell the fans who you are?
Sure, my name is Aida Marie. I am a 21 year old Brooklyn born woman who lives life for the laughs and random times all while doing all I can to achieve my goals and learn everything I can along the way.

Aida ,how do you come to the decision to be a female wrestler?
I first became a fan of pro-wrestling back in 1995 after watching the Royal Rumble with my family, who is big into it as well and I just fell in love after that. The day I knew I wanted to be a wrestler myself though happened after watching the WCW Women's Championship tournament, those women all really inspired me.

Who was or is your trainer in wrestling?
When I first started training, it was in late 2009 with Johnny Rodz in WUW. After about a year I decided to try a few other places out so I can gain as many perspectives as I possibly could and now train at BWO in Elmwood Park and ACE in Union City.

Some wrestler had a sporting background, do you also have that?
I would say I have a little bit of one. I've always been a fan of kick-ball and enjoy playing that along with dodge-ball, badminton, table tennis, billiards and bowling.

When you get inside the Ring what is your Favorite Rule,Heel or Face? And why?
They're both thrilling in different ways but no matter what, just to get that natural reaction from the crowd is amazing. If I were to pick though I would probably say heel because it tests my comfort zone more because generally I'm a bubbly, cheery person so to be vinidictive and arrogant in the ring is more of a challenge.

I saw on your Facebook that you meet the former WWE Diva Lita with the Luchagors in
concert. How was the concert and how was it meet Lita?
She is amazing, I had an absolute blast not just at the concert but talking to her. I was feeling a little weird that night and she was actually kind enough to cheer me up, we talked for a while, she gave me advice on wrestling and even told my mom on the phone how sweet she thought I was so it was an incredible experience for me.

Do you remember your first time in front of a live crowd?
It is definitely a goal of mine to make it into one of those companies, moreso WWE due to the fact that is what I grew up with and what I always wanted to be a part of although TNA is cool too. I don't really have a favorite promotion though because I respect what everybody does in the ring and love watching and learning all I can from everyone. My first time in front of a live crowd in wrestling came in November 2009 and I was pretty nervous before going out there mainly because I wasn't told what I was doing until five minutes before it was time to go out there but once I did I was comfortable and able to interact with the fans since I had prior experience with crowds before being in bands.

When you look in the future is there anything you want to do in wrestling or a match you
are dreaming for?
One thing I've always wanted to do was perform in front of my grandparents on my mom's side because when I was little I use to always watch WWE and WCW with them. Sadly I won't have the privilege of wrestling in front of my grandma since she passed away last year but I will be able to perform for my grandpa in a few months which is something I'm truly looking forward to and feel blessed to have the chance to do. As far as dream matches go, there are people out there I idolie but every match for me is a dream in a way because I get to rock out and do what I love.

And when you look at your time in Wrestling what was your personal highlight inside the
ring?
A personal highlight for me hasn't come in a specific match (even though I have had plenty of great ones with talented people) but just the fact that I have met so many wonderful people and have made my family proud, even bringing them altogether to actually see me and have them walk away with smiles and approval, that warmed my heart.

What will you say will be your worst nightmare in wrestling?
Not being able to give a good show.

Where do you wrestle now?
I currently wrestle on a usual basis for SWO, MVW, BWO, DWF, have wrestled for ECPW and JAPW before and would love to work for them again, and am set to debut for PRWA, JWE and NEWF soon.

On your Facebooksite stand many Shows you will work for. Do you have a little funny
roadstory for us?
Traveling out to PA to wrestle for the first time was pretty funny because as a city girl, I am use to big buildings, busy streets and lots of people meanwhile driving along the way with my friend it went from buildings to highways to barns and I started freaking out thinking I was going to end up in a horror movie situation where the car stops working near a barn and I end up running for my life. But it turned out really well though, I went to Sheetz for the first time (which was like heaven) and the trip was smooth aside from getting lost in NJ which always seems to happen.

A promotion that wants to book you for a show, who can they contact you?
Promotions can contact me via email which is officialaidav@gmail.com or on my facebook page which is http://www.facebook.com/aida.m.acosta and from there I will give more contact information.

And what do the women behind the female wrestler when you not stands in the ring?
When I'm not in the ring I work part-time, write a lot, play video games, study, read, try to learn how to play the guitar, have fun times with family and friends and chill with my doggy Porkchop.

At the last something to say to your fans ?
I want to say thank you for everything, the cheers, the jeers, all the funny insults and sweet compliments. They truly mean the world to me because I started out as a fan and have never stopped being one so to get that kind of support is heart warming and drives me more and more to get better at what I do. So all of you guys are amazing and I feel blessed to get the chance to rock out loud in front of you. <3
