My name is Kristin Flake. I began training when I was 16. I had some injuries, and took some time off for school. At 19 I began valeting. And then eventually finished training and started with in ring competition.
Kristin ,how do you come to the decision to be a female wrestler?
Watching as a young kid, I just loved the mix of athleticism and story telling. I have always been in to fitness and very competitive, so it seemed like a great fit.

You trained by a legend i this sport Dory Funk Jr,thats right?
Yes, I trained with him when I was 16.
How was the Training with Dory for yourself?
It was a great experience. Dory really instilled in me the respect for the ring, the sport, the business. He taught me how to handle myself with people in the business. He is an all around great teacher who just knows SO much and has SO many stories, you never stop learning when you are around him.
You also trained by Kamakazi Kid. Two differnt Trainer. One of the Old School and one of the young and wild generation. What was the differnce for you in training?
There was a HUGE difference. Dory is very strategic. His approach to everything is structured. With him it is a one, two three, one, two, three like one big dance. Training with Kazi (and then eventually Jeff Rudd and some of the other vets at CWF Midatlantic) was much more of me getting a feel for things with just some guidance. I had been around the business for several years working as a valet and had learned the basics with Dory, so by the time I worked with Kazi, he could let me just get a feel for how things flow and how to feed off of your opponent. Also, Kazi trained with me one on one and we were good friends....so not only did I not get any breaks, but he really really pushed me to my extremes because he knew how far he could.
Is WWE or TNA in the USA an Aim for you? And which Promotion is your Favorite?
At this point, I am happy with what I am doing. I would not turn down an offer to get to work in the "big leagues". But I will not be crushed if that never happens for me. I would love an opportunity to work with TNA just because they have some girls there that I haven't gotten to work with that I would love to. I think that TNA is currently producing a better wrestling product....but things always change.
You worked against other female wrestler like Marti Belle or Roxie Cotton. Who was your biggest opponent?
My biggest opponent as far as like my dream match (or in my mind the epitome of what a true womens wrestler is) would probably be getting to work Sara Del Ray in a tag match. She was one of three girls on my list of girls whom I always wanted to work with. The other two being Allison Danger (whom I have been lucky enough to work with several times) and Sarah Stock (Sarita in TNA, whom I haven't had the opportunity to work with.)
However, with that said....I have been so so fortunate to work with so many girls who have all taught me so much...Persephone, Amber O'Neal, ODB, and so many other talented girls.

You wrestle at an SCWA Event in a Ladies 3 Way Titel Match against ODB and Persephone and the speacial Guest Ref was Mickie James. What can you tell us about this match?
I was super nervous going in to the match. First, it was a cage match which I had never been involved in before. So, I wasn't sure what it was going to be like working in a cage and how that would come in to play. Getting to watch ODB and Mickie James just enter the ring, the charisma that they have and they way that they carry themselves is amazing. Having the opportunity to work with ODB, Persephone and Mickie in the same ring at the same time was overwhemling yet taught me so much. Getting to talk to those girls and learn from them is something that I wouldn't ever be able to replace.
When you look in the future is there anything you want to do in wrestling or a match you are dreaming for?
I would love the opportunity to get to work with Sarah Stock (Sarita in TNA). She is one of the girls that I watched videos of while training and just think she's spectacular.
Many wrestler have dreams but also everybody as nightmares,What is your worst nightmare in wrestling?
I don't know that I have a worst nightmare, like in the sense of something that I think about having the possibility to happen that hasn't. But as far as the downside to wrestling, I would say the politics that go on behind the scenes would be the hardest part to deal with.
And when you look at your time in Wrestling what was your personal highlight inside the ring?
I have been asked this before, and I really cannot give ONE personal highlight. I have had so many wonderful opportunities, I have gotten to work with amazing girls, I have had matches where the crowd is on fire. And it's hard to pick just ONE thing as the highlight.
Where do you wrestle now?
I am currently nursing a shoulder injury. So I am on hiatus from in ring competition.
And what do Kristin, the women behind the wrestler when you not stands in the ring?
I have 3 wonderful puppies that I stay at home with. I live at the beach and get to go work out and walk on the beach everyday.
