Eric Bischoff In Legal Dispute Over "Buffalo Bill" Beer Name


TNA star Eric Bischoff is embroiled in a legal dispute over the right to name his "Buffalo Bill Cody" Beer in which he launched late in the summer against another person who claims to have used the Buffalo Bill name on the beer first Mike Darby who happens to own the Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel along with his family. The dispute has gotten rather unpleasant with both sides claiming legitimacy over their respective claims.

On one hand Mr. Darby states "There's only one Buffalo Bill so there's only one Buffalo Bill Beer " while Mr. Bischoff who's no stranger to controversy replies "Just because I don't like to fight doesn't mean I'm not good at it".

The strange caveat to all this is that Darby was the one who got his beer to the market two days before Bischoff did the same but Darby wasn't able to get a federal approval for his beer product whereas Bischoff was able to secure such a requirement while also looking to apply for a trademark.

So far there's no cease-and-desist order in play and this dispute will be settled in a full trial with a date yet to be scheduled. To read the whole story click the link below.

Jeff Hardy Back On The Road w/ TNA Wrestling

Jeff Hardy will be back on the road for TNA. He will appear at house shows promoted for the weekend of September 15th - September 27th, against Jeff Jarrett.

Hardy makes his official return to Impact Wrestling on the episode which airs on September 8th. He is also booked for all three live events that weekend in Rahway, NJ, York, PA and Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Kurt Angle Says He Was Going To Sign w/UFC; Dana White Denies It

Kurt Angle caused a stir while proting his new movie Warrior with MMAWeekly.com. Apparently he told the website that he at one point contacted UFC President Dana White after the movie was done taped and flew out to meet him. He claims that he was considering dropping Impact Wrestling in favor of a UFC contract. Dana White took to Twitter and said the the claims are false. “Love Kurt but not true,” White said.

Here is what Angle said: “I actually contacted Dana White again after the movie. I flew out to meet him once and got a great offer. I contacted him again, I was thinking about dropping out of Impact wrestling, and there were some personal problems with my marriage and I just wanted to get away. I contacted Dana White, I flew out, and he had me take the UFC physical. I passed it, thank God, and he gave me the offer. The terms weren’t good, I mean not for me, and the terms I gave him weren’t good for him. He wanted me ready in four-and-a-half weeks; I wanted three to six months. So I respect Dana White and I love him to death, very good friend. I knew I was capable of winning in four-and-a-half weeks, but I wanted to be at my best.”
